What is Custom Sourcing?

A [Premium+](/retailer-upgrade) feature (also included with [Supplier Pro](/pro), since it bundles Premium+ buyer access). Submit a product request (product name, brand, category, source countries, target price, quantity, specifications) and our research team will find matching suppliers for you. Track request status from [Pending](/dashboard/custom-sourcing?tab=PENDING) → [Processing](/dashboard/custom-sourcing?tab=PROCESSING) → [Processed](/dashboard/custom-sourcing?tab=PROCESSED) in your [dashboard](/dashboard/custom-sourcing). Maximum 3 active (non-Processed) requests at a time.

Who can use Custom Sourcing?

Accepted Answer

Only [Premium+](/retailer-upgrade) members (and [Supplier Pro](/pro) members, whose tier includes Premium+ buyer access). If you're on a lower tier, you'll see an upgrade prompt.

Question 3

Can I edit a Custom Sourcing request?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but only while the request status is "Pending". Once our team starts processing, the request is locked. You can always submit a new request if your requirements change.

Does Custom Sourcing cost extra?

Included free with [Premium+](/retailer-upgrade). No per-search fees, no commission, no broker layer. Submit unlimited requests over time; up to 3 active at a time.

Question 5

How fast will I get matched suppliers?

Accepted Answer

First response within 48 hours (Pending → Processing). Most full reports land within three working days. Complex requests may take longer; we'll message you with an updated estimate if so.

Question 6

What if you can't find a supplier matching my spec?

Accepted Answer

We'll explain where we looked and what fell short. Refine the spec and resubmit at no extra cost, or claim a refund per our [Refund Policy](/legal/refund-policy) if the service falls materially short.

Question 7

Can I bundle multiple products into one request?

Accepted Answer

One request per product family for cleanest results. Different categories should be separate requests. No fee per group — you're only capped at 3 active requests at a time.

Question 8

Are there products you won't source?

Accepted Answer

We decline weapons, regulated drugs, illegal goods, and clearly counterfeit-positioned channels. Licensed categories (alcohol, tobacco, medical devices) require you to confirm your trade license.

Question 9

What language will the report be in?

Accepted Answer

Reports are in English. Short-form content (contact details, prices, terms) is translated free. Long-form documents (full contracts, technical specs) come with an English summary; full translation is a paid add-on.

Question 10

Why use Custom Sourcing if I can already search the supplier directory?

Accepted Answer

Directory = self-serve discovery. Custom Sourcing = concierge research with our directory PLUS international sources. Use Custom Sourcing when you have a specific spec and want a curated shortlist delivered.
