Grade A, B, and C describe descending tiers of used or ex-retail condition. The product still works (in most cases) — the difference is how visible the wear is and what discount the supplier expects: • Grade A — Top tier. Barely visible wear, no functional defects. Equivalent to European "A-Ware" labelling. Typically 25–40% below new, with 30–90 day supplier warranty common. Safe for mid-market resale, though always inspect a sample because "Grade A" varies between suppliers. • Grade B — Working product with visible cosmetic defects: scratches, dents, fading, scuffed edges. Equivalent to "B-Ware". Typically 40–55% below new, often sold "as tested". Works for discount channels, parts resellers, or any retail where you can photograph the defects up front. • Grade C — Heavy cosmetic wear, or partial functional defects — often salvage or parts-only. Equivalent to "C-Ware". Typically 60–80% below new, sold "as is". For refurbishers and parts harvesters; expect to invest labour before resale. The European A-Ware / B-Ware / C-Ware terminology maps cleanly to Grade A / B / C — some German-speaking and DACH suppliers use the European labels by default. Warranty terms vary between Grade A, B, and C lots — and even between suppliers offering the same grade. Always read the supplier's specific sale terms before committing.
