The eight fields every listing must carry to convert — currency, VAT status, MOQ, selling unit, RRP, stock location, shipping time, price validity. Plus six opaque patterns that cost conversions.
Access 30,600+ verified suppliers and exclusive wholesale deals with the best margins.
Buyers on WholesaleUp™ compare listings side-by-side. The ones that convert — and rank — carry complete, unambiguous pricing. The ones that don’t either get skipped or trigger a flood of clarifying messages that suppliers never have time to answer. Here’s the minimum you should always include.
A price without a currency is unusable. Always quote the exact wholesale price plus its ISO 4217 currency code (EUR, GBP, USD). Don't assume buyers share your default.
Buyers compare net prices. A $10 price is very different at ex. VAT vs inc. VAT. WholesaleUp™ normalises ‘ex’, ‘excl.’, ‘net’, ‘plus VAT’ to ex-VAT — but only if you enter something. Default is ex. VAT if left blank.
State whether the price is per unit, per case, per pallet. If it's anything other than per unit, include the unit count. Opaque lot pricing costs conversions.
Minimum order quantity must be stated upfront. Buyers who message to ask about MOQ are often buyers who will walk when the answer doesn't fit their volume.
The country where stock physically sits determines shipping cost, delivery time, and customs treatment. This single field resolves more buyer questions than any other.
Realistic dispatch or delivery estimate. '3–5 business days' beats silence. Overpromising and missing the date is worse than quoting a longer honest window.
We verify RRP against live market data. Honest RRPs build trust and help buyers compute margins in one glance. Inflated RRPs get flagged and suppress your listing.
Stock prices move. Giving an explicit expiry date signals a real deal and reassures buyers that the number they see is the number they'll pay today.
Cost: Kills search ranking. Most buyers skip POA listings entirely — they want to compare before they message.
Fix: Quote a real price, even if it's your highest-volume-break number. You can still negotiate from there.
Cost: A US buyer sees '€100' and a UK buyer sees '£100' — same number, different meaning. Listings without ISO currency codes fail validation.
Fix: Always set the currency field. The platform will reject uploads missing this value.
Cost: Buyers filter by MOQ. A MOQ only mentioned in prose text won't match their filter, and your listing never appears in their search.
Fix: Always fill the moq field numerically, even if you also mention it in the description.
Cost: Reads as a red flag. Buyers assume you're hiding something. Message open-rate drops and trust dips.
Fix: State ex. VAT or inc. VAT directly. If it depends on the buyer's country, default to ex. VAT and clarify in the description.
Cost: Half the margin calculation is impossible. Buyers who can't compute per-unit cost at a glance move to the next listing.
Fix: Set case_pack_size with the total unit count on the pallet.
Cost: Reads as undefined — buyers assume the worst case. If you can't hit 4 weeks reliably they'll cancel when the window lapses.
Fix: Quote a tight, honest range: '5–7 business days' is trusted. '1–4 weeks' is not.
