Accepted Answer

Supplier accounts are available by invitation or by subscribing to [Supplier Pro](/pro). If you’ve received an invitation, follow the link in your email to set up your profile. Otherwise, you can [subscribe to Supplier Pro](/pro) for immediate access with priority placement, unlimited deals, and full analytics — or [contact us](/contact) with “Listing My Company” as the query type to request an invitation.

Question 2

Is there a fee to be listed as a supplier?

Accepted Answer

Supplier Free listings are by invitation only. If you haven't received an invitation, you can [contact us](/contact) to express interest or [upgrade to Supplier Pro](/pro) for immediate listing with the PRO badge, priority placement on deal-rank/sort ties, visibility to all logged-in users, and unlimited deal listings.

Question 3

What are the requirements to be listed?

Accepted Answer

A valid company registration, a professional website, and the ability to supply at genuine wholesale prices. Suppliers of **branded goods** must also be able to prove authenticity on request — via a **sanitized invoice** tracing stock to the brand, or a direct **Letter of Authorization (LOA)**. [Brand Owners](/help/faq?q=supplier-types-choice) self-authorize; sellers of unbranded or own-brand goods can substitute manufacturing paperwork. How long does the listing review take?

Accepted Answer

Verification typically takes 1–3 business days. You'll receive an email notification once your application is approved or if additional information is needed. Supplier Pro applications are prioritised.

What supplier type should I choose?

Accepted Answer

Pick one or more that describe your business — you can select multiple.

**Production & ownership**
• Manufacturer — you produce goods directly
• Brand Owner — you own the brand and sell your own range
• Private Label / White Label — you manufacture to a customer's spec

**Distribution**
• Wholesaler — you sell in bulk at trade prices
• Distributor — you have authorized distribution rights for a brand
• Importer — you bring goods in from overseas and resell
• Exporter — you sell to buyers outside your country
• Trading Company — you buy and resell across markets

**Specialist / fulfilment**
• Liquidator / Clearance — surplus, returns, or overstock at discount
• Dropshipper — you ship directly to the buyer's customer
• Sourcing Agent — you help buyers find and negotiate with factories
• Artisan / Maker — handmade or small-batch goods

Selecting only the types that match your real activity boosts your match rate on buyer searches — don't over-select.

Question 6

How does WholesaleUp™ verify that branded goods are authentic?

Accepted Answer

Suppliers of **branded goods** must prove authenticity on request — via a **sanitized invoice** tracing stock back to the brand (pricing can be redacted; SKU / brand / chain of ownership must remain visible), or a direct **Letter of Authorization (LOA)** from the brand. **[Brand Owners](/help/faq?q=supplier-types-choice)** self-authorize; **Manufacturers, Private Label / White Label, and Artisan** sellers of unbranded or own-brand goods can substitute manufacturing paperwork. A **72-hour SLA** applies to platform audit requests; non-compliance triggers delisting, Verified badge revocation, and — for [Supplier Pro](/pro) members — prorated balance forfeiture. **Amazon sellers:** the sanitized invoice / LOA proves the supplier is an authorized source — but for ungating you'll submit **your own purchase invoice** from them (unredacted, ≥10 units, your Seller Central business name & address, dated within 90–180 days). How do I set up my supplier profile?

Go to [Dashboard](/dashboard) → [Supplier Profile](/dashboard/supplier-profile). There are 4 tabs:

1) [Business Profile](/dashboard/supplier-profile?tab=business-profile) — supplier type, buyer types served, supply models, business description, company logo
2) [Products & Supply](/dashboard/supplier-profile?tab=products-supply) — product categories, brands distributed, certifications, customisation, pre-dispatch quality inspection
3) [Orders & Payments](/dashboard/supplier-profile?tab=orders-payments) — minimum order value, payment methods, deposit, invoicing & tax, return policy
4) [Shipping & Reach](/dashboard/supplier-profile?tab=shipping-reach) — delivery methods, countries served, website, lead time, incoterms, free-shipping threshold, import-duty coverage, transit insurance, business hours

Your company name, contact details, and registered address are managed separately on [Account Profile](/dashboard/account-profile).

How do I get the Verified Supplier badge?

The green "Verified" badge is granted by our admin team after reviewing your company registration, website, and product offerings. Ensure your profile is complete and accurate — this significantly speeds up verification.

What is the blue "Pro" badge?

Accepted Answer

The blue "Pro" badge appears next to [Supplier Pro](/pro) members. It indicates a paid membership with enhanced features and signals to buyers that you're invested in the platform. [Upgrade to Supplier Pro](/dashboard/billing) in [Dashboard](/dashboard) → [Billing](/dashboard/billing).

What is the "Top Rated" badge?

Accepted Answer

The amber "Top Rated" badge is awarded to suppliers meeting six criteria simultaneously: average rating of 4.5 or higher, reviews aggregated from at least 5 independent sources, median enquiry response time of 48 hours or less, 3 or more active deal listings, an account at least 90 days old, and not currently suspended. Eligibility is recomputed nightly — dropping below threshold on any single criterion removes the badge until the supplier is back above. To earn it, focus on three things: keep your rating high (deliver on promises and reply quickly), maintain a steady inventory of active deals, and respond to enquiries promptly — [Supplier Statistics](/dashboard/supplier-statistics) shows your current numbers against each threshold.

What is the "New" supplier badge?

Accepted Answer

The sky-blue "New" badge appears next to verified suppliers within their first 90 days on WholesaleUp™. It helps buyers spot newly-onboarded suppliers worth watching as their reputation builds, and gives new suppliers a small early-discoverability boost. The badge auto-clears the day the supplier passes 90 days of account age — nothing to renew or apply for. It's mutually exclusive with [Top Rated](/help/faq/top-rated-badge) by construction (Top Rated requires 90+ days of account age), but stacks fine with [Verified](/help/faq/verified-badge) and [Pro](/help/faq/pro-badge). New suppliers focused on graduating to Top Rated should review the criteria in [Understanding Supplier Badges & Verification](/help/guides/understanding-supplier-badges-and-verification) and start tracking [Supplier Statistics](/dashboard/supplier-statistics) early.

Question 12

Who can see my supplier profile details?

Accepted Answer

Your **real company name, logo, branding, and all contact details** (main contact, account contacts, phone, website, LinkedIn, and other social profiles) run through **one unified visibility gate** — they're either all visible to a given viewer or all hidden. Which viewers unlock the gate depends on (a) whether you're Supplier Free or Supplier Pro, and (b) which page the viewer is on.

**On a Supplier Free profile:**

• **Guest and Free buyers** — see an anonymised descriptor (e.g. *"Electronics Wholesaler & Dropshipper"*) derived from your category + supplier types, on every page. No name, no logo, no contact details anywhere.
• **Standard buyers** — see your real name, logo, and full contact details **only on a deal page** (`/deal/<slug>`), because the visit has a specific deal's context. On your `/supplier` profile page and in the `/suppliers` directory, Standard buyers see the same anonymised descriptor as guests.
• **Premium and Premium+ buyers** — see your real name, logo, and full contact details **on every surface**: deal pages, supplier profile, and the directory.
• **Fellow [Supplier Pro](/pro) members** — see your real name, logo, and full contact details on every surface (Supplier Pro grants the same access as Premium+).
• **Fellow Supplier Free members** — treated the same as Free buyers: they see only the anonymised descriptor on every surface.

**On a Supplier Pro profile:**

• **Every logged-in user** — Free, Standard, Premium, Premium+, and fellow suppliers — sees your real name, logo, and full contact details on every surface (deal pages, supplier profile, directory). Unlocking this everywhere-visibility is one of the headline benefits of [upgrading to Supplier Pro](/pro).
• **Guests** — still see the anonymised descriptor until they log in.

The rest of your profile — company description, country, categories, supplier type, stock grades, verification badge, and product listings — is public to everyone including guests, regardless of tier or page.

Question 13

Can I add additional contacts to my supplier account?

Accepted Answer

You can add additional **contact people** — colleagues that buyers can reach alongside your primary account contact. Go to [Dashboard](/dashboard) → [Account Contacts](/dashboard/account-contacts) to add a contact with their name, role description, work email, phone numbers, LinkedIn, Microsoft Teams handle, WhatsApp, and languages spoken. Drag rows to reorder — the first contact is treated as the highest priority. Supplier Free accounts can add 1 additional contact; [Supplier Pro](/pro) allows up to 5. Your primary account contact is managed separately in [Account Profile](/dashboard/account-profile). Note: additional contacts don’t get their own login — they’re people buyers can reach, not separate user accounts with role-based access.
